Book with Cooper

Hi! I’m Cooper (they/them). I have been working as a professional hairstylist for 8 years since my training in 2017. Some of my favourite things to do behind the chair are curly cuts, shags, mullets, lived-in natural textured styles, blonding, seamlessly blended balayage, punchy vivid colours, contemporary barbering, personalized razor cuts, kids’ cuts (I love working with youth!), and gender-affirming haircuts. I view each service as a collaboration with my clients to fully realize an aesthetic look that blends lifestyle with a unique creative vision. I value listening to my clients, making sure they feel heard and comfortable in my chair. I’m also passionate about merging mutual aid, organizing, and hair services. In Vancouver, where I was mentored by Shaunn at Big Joy Barber & Salon, I helped organize fundraisers and mutual aid events to help people with barriers access hair services. I’m excited to bring similar initiatives to Montreal in the future! Drawing on inspiration from fashion, music, and rave culture, my art school background informs my design sensibilities and my craft. When not at work, I enjoy baking, music, and going to live shows.

Petra

Book with Petra

Hi there! I’m Petra (they/she) and I’m deeply passionate about all things human, science, care and creativity related to hair. I completed my technical training in 2020 and since then have grown to truly discover a passion for the chemical and technical art of hair colouring and cutting. I love bringing that knowledge to life through creativity and collaboration with my clients. I center my craft around connecting with people, and I want my work to reflect their worlds; my chair being a space to welcome all people: genders, ages and hair alike. Ranging from edgier to more classic cuts, long hair to short, striking or lived-in colours, bright blondes, vivids or naturals, my appreciation for hair knows no boundaries. I build my services around quality time, transparency and authenticity which allows my clients to receive an experience in which they feel heard, understood and confident about their hair project. When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll find me enjoying nature and outdoor activities or at home crafting, reading, playing music and tending to my plants. My hobbies and interests deeply fuel my inspiration for all types of hair projects, and I love to merge those worlds together.

Junior Stylist

Book with Amanda

Hello! I’m Amanda (they/them). I started cutting hair back in 2017, usually in my kitchen or friend’s backyards. During those years, I spent my time experimenting and truly discovered a love for hair. I completed my training in 2024 and have since graduated from the kitchen. Some things I love doing are pixies, shaggy layers, bobs, and I especially enjoy working with wavy/curly hair textures. I value open and honest communication and strongly believe in a collaborative approach to achieve the best outcomes for all of my clients.

Kat

Book with Kat

Hi! I’m Kat (they/them) and I have been professionally cutting and colouring hair since 2020. After playing around with my own hair (and that of my friends) for much of my life, I decided to go pro and attend hair school in 2019.  I’ve always felt that there was a need within the hair and beauty industry for more play and self-expression, and strive to affirm my clients rather than fit any kind of mold. My priority behind the chair is to make my clients feel understood and for my services to feel collaborative! My favourite services to provide are cuts and colours that embrace natural texture, are easy to wear and maintain, and work with my clients’ lifestyles and routines. I gravitate towards bold alternative styles, bright colours, and edgy cuts, but my type-A brain also appreciates a crisp fade, perfect bob, or seamless balayage. Since hair school I have continued my education by taking classes and seeking mentorship in many subjects, but have mainly focused on gender affirming cuts, curly hair cutting and styling techniques, barbering, and vivid colours.  I proudly consider myself a nerd, but bring that to my craft as well and want to know everything I can about the science and “why” behind haircare. Outside the salon my hobbies include working through piles of library books, crafting, printmaking, playing boardgames and RPGs, exploring outdoors, dancing to pop music, and attending rowdy live shows.
